NAIT is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and is the largest technical college in Northern Alberta.
On February 27th, 2014, Danielle Woroniuk, Associate Chair of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), was presented with three copies of the technical manual, “Practical Management for Plant Turnarounds”, by Mr. John McLay, P. Eng, R.E.T. PE (First) on behalf of JMC Consulting Ltd.
John McLay does both STO/TAR training and consulting in the region. He will be teaching the internationally acclaimed MasterClass: Shutdowns and Turnarounds in Drayton Valley, Alberta on March 25, 26, and 27th, 2014.
Mr. McLay was also given an opportunity to meet with Rick Dickerson, MASc, P.Eng., and Acting Program Chair, where a great discussion was held regarding the value of the Operations team as important members of the Turnaround process. As one of Alberta’s leading technical schools, it is where many young students begin their operational learning and career path.
Mr. McLay was given a tour of the centre by John Melnuk, PE, and Secretary of the Edmonton chapter of the Alberta Institute of Power Engineers (AIPE)
