On February 11th, 2014, NorQuest College Drayton Valley Campus was presented with three copies of the technical manual, “Practical Management for Plant Turnarounds”, by Mr. John McLay, P. Eng, R.E.T. PE (First) on behalf of JMC Consulting Ltd. The manuals will be made available to students when they receive local training.  John McLay does both STO/TAR Training, “MasterClass: Shutdowns & Turnarounds,” and consulting in the region.

MasterClass: Shutdowns &Turnarounds is scheduled for March 25th to 27th, 2014 at the Norquest College Campus in Drayton Valley.

Inquiries regarding this course should be directed to John at JMC Consulting (780-405-7889) or check out his website at www.pmtp.ca

This program marks the beginning of a greater emphasis on local industry training. The Town of Drayton Valley, in collaboration with NorQuest College, is constructing the Clean Energy and Technology Centre (CETC) in Drayton Valley.  The new Campus will allow NOrQuest College to vastly expand their training capabilities in the community by providing space for shops and labs and CETC will work with industry to accommodate their needs.

Until the new campus is ready for occupancy in September 2015, NorQuest College will continue to deliver training from the current campus.
