Medicine Hat College is located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada and offers a Certificate Apprenticeship and transfer program in Power Engineering.
Norm Arsenault, of Medicine Hat College received three technical manuals, “Practical Management for Plant Turnarounds” donated by John McLay, P. Eng., R.E.T., PE (First), on behalf of JMC Consulting Ltd, for the Power Engineering program. John McLay does both STO/TAR training, is the author of the internationally-acclaimed “MasterClass: Shutdowns & Turnarounds” training, and does consulting in the region.
The college boasts a dynamic and energetic team of Power Engineering Instructional staff who are committed to training up the next generation of leaders in the Process Operations and Power Engineering fields.
The members of the college graciously offered Mr. McLay a tour of the facility, which included a tour of the simulator, water testing laboratory and hands on boiler lab facilities. Mr. McLay was also given an opportunity to meet with students eager to learn more about the Power Engineering trade. Mr. McLay encouraged these students to begin building relationships now by joining networks like (N)IPE and building relationships through platforms like LinkedIn.
PMTP and JMC Consulting Ltd. are excited to be a part of Alberta’s vibrant technical learning community. For more information about this donation and all other community engagement projects, please contact our Sales and Marketing Department.
